TikTok workflow guide
Your TikTok video is delivered. Here is how to finish posting.
Finish in TikTok sends your video to TikTok so you can complete the post in the TikTok app. The scheduled time starts delivery. It is not a promise that your video will be public at that time.
1. Prepare a delivery you can finish
Connect the intended TikTok account in Castudio. Create a post, select TikTok only and attach one MP4 video. Choose Finish in TikTok and review the delivery consent before confirming it.
Schedule a future delivery time when you expect to have access to your phone. Check the timezone in the composer. Allow time to receive the video, review it and complete publication; a deadline for a public post needs more than an upload starting at that exact minute.
Do not add other platforms or repeat scheduling to this delivery. Prepare separate posts for other destinations.
2. Read the Castudio status correctly
Scheduled means the delivery is planned. Publishing means processing is underway. Delivered · Finish in TikTok means the workflow requires your action in TikTok; it is not confirmation that the video is public.
If the Planner says Open TikTok to finish posting, move to the TikTok app. Creating another copy in Castudio is not the next step. A video waiting for your action is different from a failed delivery.
3. Open the notification in TikTok
Open TikTok using the same account you connected to Castudio. Look in your inbox for the upload notification and open it to continue the editing flow. TikTok documents this as an upload without posting: the creator completes the post from the inbox notification.
Review the delivered video and the editing and publication choices TikTok presents. Check the final caption, audience and any other settings you intend to use before publishing. The post becomes public only when you complete publication with the appropriate visibility in TikTok.
4. If you cannot find the video
First check which TikTok account is open. A delivery to one connected account will not appear in another account’s inbox. Then check the Castudio delivery status and any error message; an upload still processing may not be ready yet.
If Castudio reports a failed or unconfirmed request, inspect the TikTok inbox and profile before trying again. An uncertain response does not prove the upload never reached TikTok. Castudio can block a repeat delivery when the previous request was not confirmed to reduce duplicate uploads.
If the problem persists, keep the delivery time and the error message for support. Do not send your account password or access tokens.
5. Check the final post in TikTok
After finishing, view the post in TikTok and verify its visibility. Do not use Castudio’s delivery status as proof that your manual publication succeeded.
This is useful when you want to make final edits in TikTok. If you need unattended publication at a fixed time, review current platform availability first: approval for inbox uploads does not itself enable Direct Post.
